Greetings to My Sensational Southeastern Sisters!
I welcome you in the name of Sisterhood and Service, to the 44th Annual Southeastern Region Conference, convening in the beautiful suburb of Atlanta, GA. I wish to thank our guests for their presence, National President C. Lillette Green Campbell and the National Executive Board members of Continental Societies, Inc.
I gladly extend my gratitude to our co-hosts, President Dr. LaJune Oliver, and the College Park East Point Chapter, who have spent many tireless hours organizing an effective and eventful program that speaks to our agenda, serving children and continuing best practices among our membership.
The premier outcome of this meeting is to provide takeaways that may be shared within the chapters. We will provide training that will allow for discovery and development of new strategies for effective service projects. There will be emphasis on the virtues of sisterhood, and the healthy and social benefits of togetherness and camaraderie. As we collaborate, let us realize our purpose and responsibility to respond to the plight of children in today’s society. Thus, we are compelled to foster, promote, and develop the welfare of underserved children and youth, improve their educational opportunities, and to sponsor a climate of security and well-being in their environment. Summarily, we are called to create safe spaces for children to dream, learn, and grow.
The region has adopted the theme of “Answering the C.A.L.L., Creating a Lasting Legacy.” This embodies the true concept of who we are now and forever. May you be entrusted with the will of your calling to stand and be an advocate for future generations. We have an opportunity to minister to children in such a way that it impacts communities around the world for the good of our society.
I believe in your ability to be there for one another. We have all seen challenging times this year, from sickness to the loss of loved ones … “but God.” Embrace the beauty of your sisters and offer prayers for our individual well-being. We stand on the shoulders of our founders, so let us continue the legacy with pride.
In Sisterly Love,
